Places of interest in the area

To make the most of your stay in Cazals the are many nearby towns to discover from cities such as Cahors to smaller towns such as Gourdon and Prayssac. Local markets are held in most towns and always include local crafts and produce (a schedule is avalaible).

There are many historical sites in the area including chateau and other historical buildings such as Bonaguil Castle and Pont Valentre in Cahors.

In Les Arques there is a museum dedicated to Zadkine who lived in the village and was a renowned sculptor. There are many signposted walks in the area including a walk over the wetlands from Les Arques.

Cazals is placed between two major rivers, the Dordogne to the north and the Lot to the south. Canoeing and river boat trips are avalaible on both rivers.
